The end of 2011 and the coming of the New Year were without any doubt filled with celebrations and festivities. And with the Pinoy tradition of celebrating the Holidays with loads of food, perhaps one New Year’s resolution most of us always count in is the desire to burn the extra calories and lose those unwanted pounds. Well it’s definitely good to know that we’re not alone in this tedious endeavour as our very own “smartphone” lives up to its name. The BlackBerry App World offers some amazing FREE applications dedicated to helping us all keep that healthy lifestyle we have always wanted. Check these out:

1. Calorie Counter by FatSecret – This application helps in providing essential information about the food that we eat, and conveniently helps plan these meals that we take. It also keeps details of our progress with a built-in journal and a weight chart.
