BlackBerry Curve 9360 Hands On

So, I managed to buy a BlackBerry Curve 9360 from an eBay seller in the U.K. for around 20-21k php. A bit pricey, in my opinion, but considering the availability of the phone in the Philippines.. I guess it would have to do. Its SRP would probably be a bit less than 20k, for that matter. Took about two weeks for it to be shipped here, too. But even after all that, I can say my purchase was definitely worth it. Here are my two cents, so far..

Kind of giving it the “unboxed” feel.

Then inserting my Globe Telecom sim card into it.. and voila!

OS 7 looks and moves so sleek and fast on the 11mm body of the new Curve. Typing on its keyboard is much easier and faster compared to the older Curve models. And it barely hangs, as well! Talk about smooth.

Although, one significant issue that I encountered when I was tinkering around my new BB’s settings, is that the battery would warm up even when I wasn’t using media or a BIS. But thankfully, that issue died down when I upgraded to the OS 7.0.0.400 from Orange.. plus the battery life greatly improved compared to its previous software’s version :) – Its data services have been turned on and used for a day, but at the end.. only 55% of the battery remains. Just enough power to last you another day and another round of texting and/or using the BIS.

I believe the 9360 is the cheapest among all the OS 7 BlackBerry’s to date and also, this is ideal for those who want to keep a budget lower than 20-23k php. And I suggest constantly checking its price updates because who knows, you might be able to buy one for a good 17-18k php!
