BlackBerry Torch 9810 Gets Official OS Update
Owners of the BlackBerry Torch 2, which was released around August 2011, will get the official OS 7.0.0.583 from AT&T as announced today. Although this is less than expected from RIM as users are rooting for the 7.1 release, we are hoping that the update does offer some improvements and fix on its plate (including battery life issues). There are no known added features with the update, so it would be good if you could let us know what it has improved on your Torch 2s.
Here are the specifications for the update from AT&T:

Package Version: 7.0.0.2404

I updated my Blackberry Torch 9810 to the latest software, 7.0.0.2404, and now seem to have only about half the battery life. I don’t use my phone that much and the battery is now draining in about 12 hours instead of 48 hours or so. That’s only a quarter of the battery life, not half, isn’t it? Is it just coincidence that this happened right after I updated the OS on Saturday?
the latest software we have for the torch 9810 came from the carrier guatemala, version 7.0.0.598.. you might want to download that version as it could fix any bugs that could be causing the battery to drain fast on ver 7.0.0.2404..
